These same signs and symptoms of prostate cancer can also be caused by other conditions. It is therefore important to consult a health care practitioner if unusual symptoms occur because
as the tumour grows or metastases attack other parts of the body, there will be what are called late symptoms such as:
-
Bone pain especially in the back, hips, thighs or neck
-
Weight loss
-
Fatigue
-
Decreased red blood cell counts (anemia)
-
Weakness or numbness in the legs or feet
-
Loss of bladder or bowel control
