Symptoms of urinary tract infections

The most common early symptoms in cases of simple cystitis:

  • Frequent emergencies to urinate
  • Incontinence
  • Fatigue especially in the elderly
  • Troubled urine
  • Different smell of urine
  • Nocturnal urinary emergencies
  • Sometimes blood in the urine
  • Burning sensations during urination
  • No fever

Symptoms in cases of pyelonephritis (kidney infections):

Same symptoms as for common infections plus:

  • High fever
  • Chills
  • Vomiting
  • Back pain
  • Pain in the genitals
  • Alteration of the general condition.

In children

  • Stomach ache
  • Urine in bed
  • Complaints or crying during urination
  • Fever without any other symptoms
